What are the players & officials in Duck Duck Goose?

Duck Duck Goose is a self-regulated game with no referees or officials. All participants are players, and they enforce the rules among themselves.

You need a minimum of three players to begin:

The Chaser (Gooser): One player stands outside the circle. This is the person who taps heads and chases others.
The Ducks: At least two players sit in the circle. They are initially "safe."

For a better experience, 5 to 10 players are recommended. This allows for more "Ducks" in the circle and keeps the game moving at a good pace.

Duck: A player currently sitting in the circle. They are "safe" until tagged.
Goose: A player who was previously a Duck but stood up to chase the chaser. They are now "out" of the circle and must wait for a new round.
New Chaser: When the game ends, one of the Gooses is selected to become the new Chaser for the next round.
