Section 7: Violations & Penalties
Certain actions during play are considered violations and result in the loss of a rally. A double hit occurs if a player touches the ball twice before hitting it against the wall, or if two players on the same team touch the ball consecutively. This is generally not allowed in standard play.
Catching or holding the ball with hands is a violation, as players must hit or throw the ball. Additionally, if the ball hits the floor on a player's side of the court before being returned, it is considered out. Stepping over or on the boundary lines during play can also be called a foot fault, depending on the specific rules agreed upon by the players.
