Section 6: Scoring
All scoring is by touch: the scoring area of the axe that directly contacts a valid scoring zone of the target. Black ring boundaries score the lower adjacent value. The zones for hatchet are as follows. (Section B.5)
- Rings 1 through 5 score 1 through 5 points respectively. (Section B.5)
- The center bullseye is 1.5 in in diameter and scores 6 points. (Sections A.4 and B.5)
- Outer bullseyes are 1.5 in and sit within the 5-rings. (Sections A.4 and B.5)
- Inner Killshots are ¾ in and are set at heights of 48 in and 72 in. They score 8 points. (Sections A.4 and B.5)
- Outer Killshots are 1.5 in and score 7 points. (Sections A.4 and B.5)
Whether a zone stays open after being hit depends on the division (see Section 4). (Section B.5)
