Section 7: Violations & Penalties
Slalom violations. A run ends immediately (with the score fixed at the point of infraction) if the skier falls, fails to go around a required turn buoy on the correct side of the boat's course, releases the handle deliberately, or fails to cross the course through both the entry and exit gates.
Tricks violations. A trick attempted but not landed under control, or performed outside the marked pass zone or time limit, scores zero for that attempt. Trick calls disputed by the skier or coach may be referred to the Chief Judge for review under the tournament's protest procedure.
Jump violations. A jump is disallowed (scored as a "no jump" or foul) if the skier does not maintain control through the landing and ride-away, deviates outside the approved ramp approach lane in a manner deemed unsafe or advantageous, or if equipment or course conditions are found to be non-compliant at the time of the jump.
General conduct. Unsportsmanlike conduct, equipment found not to conform to the rulebook's specifications, or interference with another competitor's run may result in disqualification from the event or, in serious cases, from the tournament, at the discretion of the Chief Judge or Tournament Committee.
