Section 3: Playing Area
Play in a well-lit area where each team can see its drawing surface without crowding the drawer. Position teams far enough apart that private guesses cannot easily be overheard, while keeping all players close enough to hear the timer and any ruling made by the scorekeeper.
Drawing Station
- Place the drawing surface where it remains visible to every eligible guesser on the active team.
- Keep the card supply face down or otherwise concealed from all guessers.
- Set the timer where the timekeeper can operate it reliably.
- Keep the score record visible so teams can confirm the score and number of turns played.
- Remove earlier drawings before the next turn so they cannot supply accidental clues.
Team Separation
During an ordinary turn, only the active team may guess. Other teams should remain quiet and avoid signaling, distracting the drawer, or reading the prompt card. A team may use its own drawing station, or all teams may share one central station and take turns approaching it.
Accessibility
Adjust the height and placement of the drawing surface so every drawer can use it comfortably. Players may draw while seated. The group may enlarge prompt text, improve lighting, or allow an assistant to position materials, provided the assistant does not interpret the prompt or guide the drawing.
