Section 6: Scoring
Standard Result
A single round normally has no numerical score. The player who causes the tower to fall loses, and the player who completed the immediately preceding legal turn wins. If the first player topples the untouched starting tower, the last successful player does not exist; the group may record only the first player's loss or rebuild and replay.
Match Scoring Options
For a longer session, choose one system before the first round:
- Round wins: Award one point to each round's winner. The first player to three or five points wins the match.
- Penalty total: Give the player who topples the tower one penalty point. After a fixed number of rounds, the lowest total wins.
- Survival scoring: Award one point for every legal turn completed. The highest total after the agreed number of rounds wins.
- Team scoring: Award one point to the team whose member made the final successful move.
When using round wins, rotate the starting player so no participant repeatedly receives the same position. If scores are tied at the end of a scheduled match, play additional rounds until one tied player earns a clear advantage, or conduct a shared-tower playoff among the tied players.
Records and Tower Height
Groups may record the number of successful blocks placed before collapse. Count only blocks legally removed and added during the round, not the 54 blocks in the original tower. Tower height is a fun secondary achievement, but it does not replace the chosen win condition unless announced beforehand.
