Tiebreakers
Why People Get This Wrong
People often assume that if two players are tied in Simon Says, they must continue playing together until one makes a mistake, forgetting that each player is supposed to listen only to their own Simon's commands individually. The confusion arises because of misinterpreting the rule about "sudden-death play" as requiring both players to keep going simultaneously until someone messes up.
Official Verdict
Tied players may continue alone in sudden-death play. Simon alternates valid and invalid commands until one tied player makes an error and another completes the same command correctly.
