Section 2: Equipment
No equipment or special uniform is required for this land-based ruleset. Players need an appropriate open space with clearly understood boundaries. Existing surface lines or agreed landmarks can identify the playing area and safe zones without additional objects.
- Optional boundary markers: Soft markers can help show sidelines and end lines. Position them outside running paths so they do not create obstacles.
- Optional role identifiers: Bibs can distinguish sharks from minnows, but verbal identification works too.
- Optional organizer tools: A whistle or timer can help manage a large group. Spoken signals are sufficient.
- Recommended clothing: Wear clothing that permits easy movement and footwear suited to the surface. Secure loose laces and remove dangling accessories.
There is no ball, goal, or other object to carry, defend, or collect. Optional equipment does not change what counts as a successful crossing or a legal tag.
