The May 12, 2026 Board of Governors rule changes also adjusted the CFL's ineligible-player rules, under Rule 4, Section 5, Article 3 (Exceptions to the Numbering Requirements) and Rule 6, Section 4, Article 4 (Eligibility of Receiver) of the 2026 CFL Official Playing Rules.
